RTN 380

RTN 380

RTN 380 is Huawei's second generation full outdoor E-Band microwave operating at 71 GHz to 86 GHz and adopting carrier-grade design. Abundant spectrum resources mean a shorter licensing process. Compared with the microwave operating at traditional frequency bands, E-band microwave beams are narrow, which minimizes interference between sites, enables dense site deployment, and facilitates reuse of spectrum resources.

As highly-integrated full outdoor microwave, RTN 380 supports zero footprint installation, reducing network deployment costs. It connects to service-side equipment through GE ports.

With a capacity of up to 4 Gbit/s, RTN 380 can accommodate future bandwidth requirements. It may provide high-capacity links for hub sites, complement optical networks on MANs, or serve as a replacement in scenarios where deploying optical networks is difficult. In Huawei's Cloud-based Radio Access Networking (C-RAN) solution, RTN 380 can backhaul CPRI traffic from RRUs to the BBU.

Features

Ultra-broadband, High Spectral Efficiency, Max 4 Gbit/s per Device
  • 750 MHz channel spacing, 64QAM modulation, and up to 4 Gbit/s throughput per device, meeting different backhaul requirements
  • Adaptive modulation (AM) and adaptive modulation and adaptive channel space (AMAC), which increase link capacity while assuring high availability of high-priority services
  • Ethernet Frame Header compression, further enhancing spectral efficiency and packet service throughput over the air interface

Complement to Fiber Networks, CPRI Backhaul for C-RAN
  • Providing the CPRI for carrying traffic from remote RRUs to the BBU
  • Supporting software-defined CPRI rates (1.25 Gbit/s and 2.5 Gbit/s available)
  • CPRI interoperable with base stations from different vendors, meeting varied scenario requirements

Easy deployment Easy OAM
  • Full outdoor architecture, allowing zero footprint installation
  • USB flash drive for commissioning and quick configuration, enabling plug and play on site, thereby lowering engineering costs and improving deployment efficiency
  • Wi-Fi maintenance port, allowing for contact-free maintenance, lowering maintenance costs
  • Software-based frequency tuning for all frequency bands, simplifying delivery
Comprehensive Ethernet Capability
